This guide will help students learn about how to use the Ontario College Application Service (OCAS).

What is OCAS?

The Ontario College Application Service serves as the application processing centre for undergraduate admissions to Ontario colleges. It handles the receipt of student applications, processes them, and forwards the information to the respective colleges. However, OCAS does not make admission decisions; that responsibility lies with the colleges themselves.

Important dates and deadlines

June 1, 2024

The earliest date that colleges may require payment of tuition fees.

May 1, 2024

The most common deadline for confirming offers of admission - but not the only one. Applicants should check their offers of admission for exact deadline dates.

February 1, 2024

The deadline for applying to highly competitive programs. Applications received and paid for on or before this date will be given equal consideration by the colleges.

Note: Applicants for all programs are encouraged to apply before this date, as website and call volumes are highest at this time.

November 1, 2023

The earliest date the colleges may release offers to applicants. Offers will continue to be issued until programs are filled or wait lists are established.
